SACA Leadership Model Transitions to Support Organizational Growth

January 6, 2026

SACA is entering an important new chapter—one that builds on our strong foundation while preparing for the future, including our move into a new building and the next phase of organizational growth.

After many years of dedicated leadership, SACA’s Co-Directors, Dave Rudolph and Elaine Walker, will begin a planned transition out of their roles. Their vision, care, and commitment have been instrumental in shaping SACA into the organization it is today, and the Board of Directors is deeply grateful for their years of service.

As part of preparing SACA for the future, the Board is transitioning from a Co-Director model to an Executive Director model. Andréa Kish-Bailey will continue serving as Interim Executive Director, providing steady leadership as the organization prepares for the new building and as the Board works toward permanent executive leadership.

Andréa is a consultant with Strategic Consulting & Coaching, a firm with a longstanding relationship with SACA, and is working closely with the Board and staff to support the organization through this transition. She brings over 25 years of nonprofit leadership experience, including leading organizations such as White Bear Area Food Shelf and Small Sums, and holds a master’s degree in organizational leadership. Her expertise includes nonprofit management, organizational transitions, strategic planning, board governance, fundraising, financial oversight, and community engagement.

Beginning January 19, Dave and Elaine will transition into roles focused on continuity and knowledge transfer, with a planned separation date in March. This extended timeline allows for a thoughtful, supported transition that honors their leadership and ensures organizational stability.

SACA’s mission, programs, and staffing remain unchanged. This transition is focused on positioning the organization for long-term success while continuing to serve the community with care, dignity, and integrity.

Community members with questions are welcome to contact Andréa Kish-Bailey at andreakb@sacafoodshelf.org.
