SACA Delivers is a monthly grocery delivery service for homebound seniors and people living with disabilities.
On the third Saturday of each month, grocery deliveries are hand-packed and delivered to almost 150 clients by a team of dedicated volunteers. Clients receive approximately 30 pounds of non-perishable items, meats, dairy, and fresh fruits and vegetables in each delivery.

Interested in receiving deliveries?
SACA Delivers might be a good fit for you if…
you are over the age of 55 and/or you have a documented disability, and
you live within SACA’s service area (Columbia Heights, Hilltop, Fridley, Spring Lake Park, NE Minneapolis), and
you are unable to get to SACA Food Shelf in person.
If you meet these eligibility requirements, call 763-789-2322 to discuss next steps.
Please note: New clients may need to wait 1-2 months before receiving a delivery.
Pat, Delivery Client
"It breaks the monotony of life for an old person who stays at home. It's like a little bird pecking on the window to say hi. Even if it's just for half a minute."
Betty Lou, Delivery Client
“I’m recuperating from a couple falls I had recently. I'm now confined to my apartment. I depend on you guys so I at least have some groceries in the house.”

What is your favorite part of delivery day?
“Definitely the wonderful people that I get to deliver to. I look forward to SACA Delivers Saturdays and seeing my clients. When I get [to client homes] it’s always thank you thank you thank you. They fill my heart and I consider it a privilege to get to know them. They are the ones giving me the gift on SACA Delivers Saturdays.”
