Appointments can be scheduled once a month and 48 hours in advance through our online scheduler.
We have a 48 hour appointment system. For example: On Monday at 10 am, the 10 am appointment for Wednesday will open.
If you see that there are no appointments available, check back throughout the day.

As food insecurity increases in your community, We need weekly volunteers Monday to Thursday who can commit to 3-4 hours to help in the food market, thrift store, warehouse, or reception desk.

Since its founding in 1976, SACA Food Shelf has remained committed to providing basic needs services to Columbia Heights and surrounding communities. Our goal is to serve our clients with dignity and respect, in hopes of providing a pathway to stability and self sufficiency. Our mission of providing food and resources to those in need, while empowering dignity and independence to those we serve in our community.
We are only as strong as the community that surrounds us and we are thankful for the support of our neighbors, our hardworking volunteers, our generous funders, and our clients who teach us about strength and perseverance on a daily basis.
